Here is what our clients have to say about us
We did a major renovation of our 1952 beach house, including removing walls, adding exterior doors, window changes, and a full kitchen and math remodel with Chris & Linda at Key Structures heading up the project. We went into the project realistically expecting the remodel norm of taking longer than expected and costing more than planned but that was in no way the case with Key Structures. They worked hard to help us use our budget to work with the house and it's strengths and keep our priorities straight. We enjoyed everyone who worked on our project, they work with high quality contractors. We finished slightly ahead of schedule and we couldn't be more pleased with the entire process and the beautiful outcome. We have already recommended Key Structures to friends looking to do similar projects.
“I bought my first house from Key Structures LLC almost a year ago, and I couldn't have been any happier with this purchase. It was an old tri-level home that they renovated extensively inside-out to give it a modern look, and they did a great job. The build quality and craftsmanship of their work are excellent, the design of the kitchen and bathroom is contemporary and very well thought out right from the choice of material for countertops, to cabinets, to light fixtures, including the paint on the walls inside and outside the house. Whether you are looking to get your house renovated or looking to buy a property that they worked upon I would highly recommend Linda & Chris Sewell. - Khem Singh, Richmond, VA”
As a home inspector, I see homes in all different conditions. A large percentage are remodeled by "Flippers" who been watching to much HGTV. They think anyone can be a contractor. Many do not hold a contractor's license (which by law they must or at least hire a licensed contractor), do not get permits nor do they know the Virginia Residential Building Codes. On the surface their homes look nice...new cabinets, granite counter tops, new appliances, updated bathrooms, new carpeting/hardwood floors and a fresh paint job; however, we often find rotten crawl space timbers, no attic insulation, and leaking roofs as well as decks, plumbing and electrical not meeting code.
In contrast, Key Structures is a professional licensed and insured contractor who has been in business for decades. His work is always of the highest quality. His designs are some of the most creative. It's a pleasure to get to inspect his homes. Most inspectors' reports focus on problems, even mine; but with Chris' homes I get to highlight what is good.
If I didn't build my own homes, I would hire Key Structures. I highly recommend them.
Just wanted to send a quick note to say how much I appreciate you originally reaching out to me to start this process. We feel so fortunate to be working with you guys, Chris has really made this process so much less stressful than we had anticipated. We genuinely feel like he's watching out for our best interest which I know most people don't feel during a remodel.
Hope you are both having a wonderful evening!

It was great meeting you both at our recent Charity House meeting.
Because of the nature of my work I get to see a lot of homes and even though some people might do upgrades on a kitchen or a bathroom, I must say your work is just beautiful for an entire project.
